I've created a password for my user account, and now I want to remove it, how do I achieve this?
Microsoft Windows XP
This being Windows XP, there are a number of ways, however I'll highlight the 2 simplest. I believe that these will work in either XP Pro or XP Home:
1. While logged in normally, hit [ctrl]+[alt]+[del] and a menu should appear. There should be an option to "Change Password" (bottom left option), select that, then enter your old password in the first box, and leave the new password boxes blank. Click OK to accept and then Cancel to return to Windows.
2. The second option involves finding the "User Accounts" option in the control panel. Double click the "user accounts" icon, and then select the user account that you wish to change. Within this screen there will be options to change or remove your password.
