    Providing Computing Assistance for All

Why do I not get the right page if I type the address into Google, but I do if I enter it into the search box?

Well - if you know the full address of the web page, you should be typing it into the address bar at the top of the browser window, not into a search box appearing on a page. All search engines will produce slightly different results, and aren't really designed for finding exact matches of web addresses.

As an example, if you wanted to get to the club web page, and knew the address was http://www.thecompclub.org.uk then you would type that into the address bar. If you didn't know the address, you might type "computer club Radstock" into a search engine, such as google, and see what it finds.
